MY HUMBLE OPINION
The long-awaited final volume in the Harry Potter series is a captivating read. I couldn't put it down! I was hoping to draw it out over a week or so, to savor the last installment in the Harry Potter series, like a delicious, rich dessert after a special meal, but I couldn't. I devoured Deathly Hallows in just three days, and then spent a week digesting it in my mind. It was a wonderfully emotional, almost cathartic, final chapter, but I still wanted more. I didn't want to say goodbye to Har...

MY REVIEW
Pride and Prejudice is a story about society and the relationships of family. It focuses mainly on the Bennet's, specifically the two eldest daughters; Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Jane. Societal law demands upon the death of the supporting male, all funds and fortune are entailed to the next living 'male' relative. This puts the Bennet family at a disadvantage because they have five daughters. Mr. Bennet's fortune will pass to his estranged cousin, Mr. Collins. Because of these circumstances it is...

The Farseer Trilogy is Robin Hobb's first outing into the world of fantasy novels, a genre so complex that stories usually come in the minimum of trilogies and not single book novels. The Farseer Trilogy follows the story of FitzChivalry Farseer and is wrote from his perspective. Fitz is trained as an assassin but not the type of assassin that you would imagine. He is not the best sword fighter or even the best brawler and he possesses a magic that is not what people would expect in fantasy ...

Why we like it!
The Beast Quest stories by Adam Blade have all the standard fairy tale adventure story elements -- an evil wizard, a beleaguered kingdom in need of a champion, and a young hero plus magic, friendship, and bravery. It is an engaging story with characters who are good role models for young children. The magic and adventure are appealing but there is not the same element of darkness that you find in Harry Potter (the series we read before Beast Quest). There is destruction and violence but it i...

MY REVIEW
This Pulitzer Prize-winning novel is one of the most well known and widely read pieces in American literature. This classic is an immediate favorite of almost everyone who reads it and remains one of the most widely taught books in American classrooms, even though it has been over 40 years since its publication.

What we like about "Ferno The Fire Dragon"
Visit Children Learn More Ferno The Fire Dragon is the first book in Adam Blade's Beast Quest series. While you can read the books out of order and easily follow the story it is best to start out with the quest to free Ferno The Fire Dragon as this story introduces us to the main characters and we understand more about the hero Tom and those those who join him on his quest -- his horse Storm, his friend Elenna and her tame wolf Silver. This story is filled with adventure and magic as Tom fa...
