That is the sum of Isaac Asimov's life in a nutshell. But in the space of 50 years (from age 20 to age 70 roughly) the man wrote over 500 books!!!!! He also wrote thousands of essays too. My Connection
Once upon a time, probably in the late seventies, my wife and I sat at a banquet table with Isaac Asimov and Jean Auel (it was before Jean was famous).  It was a Portland, Oregon Mensa meeting. Isaac was the guest of honor but was relatively quiet and unassuming compared to some of the others at the table who tried to be impressively intelligent.  It put us off Mensa.
