Misery is gripping, horrific and, in some places, totally gruesome. If you're a writer/author, keep away from anyone who says they are your No.1 Fan. If you have broken bones, you may want to skip over some parts, 'eek'. But, if you are a true horror fan, this novel will have you turning each page with a sick sense of pleasure. Not one of the better known Stephen King books, writing as he was under his Richard Bachman guise, but its one I really enjoyed. There is a wicked undercurrent throughout the whole book.The main character, Billy Halleck,is technically the hero of the book, but after reading it it becomes less clear, and he may even be the villain.
