Name any child's top five favorite picture books, and chances are the list will include multiple books about farm animals. With so many excellent farm stories, songs, rhymes and finger plays, a farm theme is a sure bet to be a storytime favorite.

Train Storytime Ideas
Young children love trains. If you get them talking about the subject, chances are you will learn just how much they love trains, want to ride on a train, want to be a conductor, can name all the different cars on a train.... Though I work in a city library, many of my storytime kids love and dream about cowboys and cowgirls.
