What Are The Digital Servos?
Over the past few years, the servos have changed a tremendous way with rotational speed, size and torque. The latest development in the world of servos is known as digital servos. The digital servos have some operational benefits over the standard servo drives. In the general context the digital servo is quite like the standard servo, except a unit known as a microprocessor. A microprocessor controls the motor and can analyze the incoming signals of the receiver. Except the micro processor, t...

Servo Drives and Their Beneficial Applications
Servo Drives
A servo drive consists of two main parts- a control system and a motor. The control system of the servo drive sends command system to the drive which in turn analyses the signals and converts then in to electric signals. These signals are then sent to the servo motor that produces torque or movement as per the directed signals. In digital servo drives, a velocity sensor is included in the system that sends back the original velocity of the motor back to the drive. The basic working principal ...

Servo drives Perfect Your Servomechanism
Servo drives
Servomechanism or automatic machines do not always function perfectly, therefore servo drives are required to correct those imperfections and make sure that the production process is not hampered. Traditionally AC or DC motor were used to ensure smoothness of the production process but AC or DC motors do not use the system of motor feedback which servo drives do nowadays. The feedback detects any abnormal motion in the system and adjusts so that the machine acts as expected.
