When was the iPhone born?
The iPhone, manufactured by Apple, first went on sale to the public in the US at the end of June 2007, though it was first shown in January at an exhibition and due to legal reasons could not be sold until various permits were granted. Such was the demand for the iPhone that hundreds of customers queued up outside stores. In November of 2007 the iPhone became available in the UK, France and Germany and from then it spread across Europe.
