The Triple Goddess
The Maiden, Mother and Crone
The Trinity of Life is something that is very important, regardless which path you walk. From my earliest childhood memories, my grandmother taught me about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As I walked a little further on my path, I began to understand more about the Triple Goddess aspect in my own life. The Maiden: Signifies youth, excitement, freshness of life, magick in everything. She carries innocence and waits for the wildness of life to enter into her life. Her age group is b...

In the 1940s this was some very progressive hiring for the UK! These girls helped the war effort at the highest possible level and they were happy to sta...

Is it offensive when men call women 'females'?
Using the term 'females' to refer to women - is it demeaning?
I often hear men referring to women as "females" in regular everyday social conversations, and frankly it bugs me to no end. I find it offensive. It's a simple term, and accurate at that, however the way it is used feels like it places women as inferior. What do you think of the use of "females" in common conversation? (Obviously, the use of the term "females" in a discussion of a scientific nature or in a police report is appropriate and not offensive. This is not the use of the term I find...

Mary MacKillop - Mother Mary Of The Cross
On Sunday, October 17, 2010 Mary MacKillop will be canonised in Rome. She will become Australia's first saint. So what does this mean for Australia and Australians? "Saints are meant to inspire and lead people towards God."

Woman Nature
Everything is mysterious
A woman is to be loved, not understood. That is the first understanding. Life is so mysterious that our hands cannot reach to its heights, our eyes cannot look into its deepest mystery. Understanding any expression of existence - men or women or trees or animals or birds - is the function of science, not of a mystic. A mystic is not a scientist. Science itself is a mystery. With Albert Einstein, the whole history of science has taken a very different route because the more he went into the ...
