Bernoulli Equation Fluid Dynamics
How to Understand and Derive the Bernoulli Equation
Fluid dynamics is a very complex subject, but can be simplified by making some assumptions. The Bernoulli Equation describes the behaviour of incompressible, non-viscous fluids and is a useful way of approximately modeling the behaviour of fluids. Here is a simple explanation of how the Bernoulli equation is derived, an introduction to fluid dynamics and some applications of it's use: How does an aerofoil work? (i.e. how does a aeroplane fly?) and why does a baseball, cricket ball or tennis ...

Home Schooling: Journeying Through the First Year
Journaling With a Purpose
This journal has multiple purposes. The first and most obvious is to keep track of the learning progress of my 5/6-year-old. Second, to provide helpful home schooling resources. Third, to inspire and encourage myself as well as my fellow home school Moms and Dads. Fourth, to stay informed about the latest legal updates for home schooling in my area through HSLDA. Fifth, to make new friends. Sixth, this page features your Squidoo lenses about home schooling by request... just shoot me a note a...

Journeying Through First Grade
Entering the First Grade From Home: Journal 2009/10
Abbie has officially entered the First Grade, and we're very excited about it. All of our curriculum has been purchased, and I have special goals for this year, and those to follow. It may even lead to developing a customized curriculum a few years down the road. Our state requires that we cover five subjects (science, social studies, reading, grammar, and math) and file an affidavit with the state. We have not only met those requirements, but will probably far exceed them, as most homeschoo...
