Images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope
All of these images were taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Have a look and be amazed at the detail. Imagine what our night sky would be like if we could look up and see things like this. How truly awesome that would be!! This lens came about simply because I love to look at these images and wonder.

The Hubble Telescope was launched in 1990 and is currently orbiting the Earth. The Hubble was launched aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery and is expected to continue operation until between 2014 and 2018. Its replacement, the James Webb Space Telescope is expected to launch in 2018. The Hubble weighs 24,000 pounds and orbits the Earth every 96 minutes.
