Make Sibelius Your DAW/Sequencer
(For Sibelius 5)
Welcome to hewhocomes's tutorial on how to make Sibelius 5/6 your DAW! This is a great tutorial for those on a budget. This tutorial was made with EWQLSO Gold XP w/ its Kompakt player (Note: Kompakt is the older version of Kantakt). Also, the music presented his hewhocomes's "Wind Trio", which harmonies were controlled using a reversed Schenkerian process. If you have any comments/thoughts please share! This is my first tutorial and actual attempt at working with virtual instruments. If I use...

Sibelius Sound Set Editor
Keyswitching
This tutorial assumes you understand Sibelius's Sound ID's systems. If you don't, I recommend going to one of my previous tutorials. This feature can be, if you'd like, to be included in the same sound set since you're editing instruments outside of unpitched percussion. For the purpos...

Sibelius Sound Set Editor
3rd-Party Unpitched Percussion Libraries
The Sibelius Sound Editor (SSE) is a great tool that lets a composer map Sibelius to a third-party sample library. For the purpose of this tutorial, Sibelius 5 and EWQLSO Gold XP (Kompakt) are going to be demonstrated. The SSE links a third-party library to Sibelius when Sibelius doesn't know, by default, where the sounds are located. Instruments such as a clarinet or tuba play a single sound (or articulation) of a single instrument on every available pitch. However, unpitched percussion are ...
