This lens is for movie musicals that have either won or been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Since 1951, eight movie musicals have won the coveted Oscar, with six of those films winning the award between 1951 and 1968. The eight films are: An American in Paris (1951), Gigi (1958), West Side Story (1961), My Fair Lady (1964), The Sound of Music (1965), Oliver (1968), Amadeus (1984), and Chicago (2002).
