Pirates of the Caribbean series is a Walt disney adventure films produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The first installment The Curse of the Black Pearl was released in 2003 with positive reviews and grossing over $653 million worldwide. After the unexpected success it leads to its second sequel Dead Man's Chest was released in 2006 and At World's End in 2007 and the upcoming On Strangers Tide as the third sequel in 2011.

Incredible computer generated imagery combined with a great script and an A-list group of actors made the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series an overnight success. But when Disney first announced plans for a movie based on their popular pirates ride, skeptics really didn't see much to base the movie on, and hope was not high for a great outcome for the future Pirates of The Caribbean movie.
