This movie was released December 1st, 1989 and has been included in lots of holiday celebrations since. On opening weekend, it was #2 behind Back to the Future Part II. By the third weekend, it was #1 at the box office. It has grossed over $71,000,000 to date. It's a family tradition at our house and we usually watch it more than once!

I just had the privilege of meeting Booky for the first time when I discovered the movie Booky and the Secret Santa and I was impressed with both Booky AND the movie. Why?
