Based on the ancient Chinese legend of Hua Mulan the Disney Mulan movie is not only entertaining to watch but has a strong and hopeful message that to succeed you must be true to your heart. Disney's Mulan is having difficulty fitting in to conventional society at the start of the movie. She is meeting with a Matchmaker who is trying to find her a suitor, but Mulan does not fit in to the role of graceful and demure...

When the Hun armies invade China, a young woman named Fa Mulan disguises herself as a man, runs away from home, and fights for her country. She does it to protect her aging father, who has no sons to go in his place. But she is also trying to prove herself and do something worthwhile. Mulan is one of my favorite Disney movies, and probably the last traditionally animated Disney movie that deserves to be listed up there with The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast.
