Cheese
What is Halloumi?
Halloumi is a traditional cheese from Cyprus, the island in the Mediterranean Sea. Halloumi has a higher melting point than other cheese what makes it suitable for frying and grilling. You almost won't find any BBQ in Cyprus without the use of halloumi. It is also very common in warm months, to eat halloumi together with watermelon. The juicy slices of the watermelon are quite refreshing while the slices of halloumi give the delicious taste. Halloumi is also one of the dishes that are usually...
HERE'S WHAT I THINK -- LIMBURGER YUMM!
LIMBURGER Cheese is Yummy! I absolutely LOVE the taste of Limburger Cheese. Yes, it is YUMMY and delicious with a slice of onion on a fresh piece of rye bread. I've been loving this pungent cheese since I was a wee one in Northeastern Ohio. It seems though that every time I've opened a package of Limburger Cheese, the men in my life ALL seem to think I've 'cut the cheese!' And, not in the sense of removing the rind. 'What stinks so much!' is their usual response. You see, they think it's sti...
Age doesn't matter, unless you're a cheese
There's something quite indulgent about the delicious labours of the ancient craft of cheese-making - the sheer enjoyment from a simple wedge of crumbly red cheddar or a sharp shaving of tart parmesan. Cheese tastes best in its country of origin and good cheese starts with the freshest milk, it's the fine milk quality in Australia that makes our cheese so delicious.

Arkansas Sin Dip Recipe
I like to remember tasty times and full-tummy satisfaction shared with family and friends at a small Mexican restaurant when I was growing up. The appetizer came to be known as the secret cheese dip - or, Chili Con Queso. Let your taste buds decide if this recipe is the real thing. My mom and my friends' moms were forever going crazy to uncover the recipe. This was North Little Rock. Anyone who has ever lived or visited Arkansas at all knows what I mean. Because I'm sure you've t...
A Celebration Of Cheese
I confess right here, right now, a love of cheese. There are very few cheeses on this earth that I do not like although I also confess that there are still many that I have not tried. For a food which is really so simple it is simply astounding the myriad varieties which can be had. From the mild smooth fromage frais and ricotta to the aged cheddar, from the salty fetta to the blue rocquefort, stilton or gorgonzola, cheese has as many uses as it has styles. Celebrate my love of cheese with me...
Cheesy, Cheesier, Cheesiest
I like cheese. It's one of my favorite foods. Creamy brie, or crumbly feta. Pungent blue or mild yellow American. Tiny rounds of goat cheese and huge wheels of gouda. But... ...this lens is only partially about the kind of cheese that you eat. Beyond the tasty, aromatic morsels (or hunks) of cheese we ingest is a universe of related objects, activities, and lore. When I did a simple Google search for cheese one day, I was rewarded with page upon page of cheese-related items. Cheesy cheese-re...
I Think British Cheeses are the Best in the World
You might disagree with me, but when it comes to making great regional cheeses, you just can't beat the Brits. In fact, there are over 700 different kinds of named cheeses made in Britain! Of course if you do disagree with me, there's a spot further down where you can tell me what cheese you think is best. In the meantime, here you will find what I consider to be the best of British cheeses, and ways to use them.
Welcome to my lens on Favourite Cheeses.
