My Mom must have had hundreds and hundreds of pairs of salt and pepper shakers back in the sixties. They were featured on a shelf that ran around the top of the wall in the kitchen. At least I think they did. It's amazing what you don't pay attention to when you are a kid. Sadly they were all lost in a fire, but they must have made enough of an impression for me to suddenly want to have a lens about them.
