Lemon curd is a very easy preserve to make and it is delicious, much nicer than you can buy in the store. It is my favourite spread and this recipe is one I've used for about 30 years. Lemons and Almonds Together in a Great Pie
Glazed Lemon and Almond Tart is what we would call this open pie here in the UK and it is delicious. The fresh, sharp taste of lemons (sweetened, of course) combined with the warmer flavour of almonds make an excellent, tasty combination. It isn't as quick to make as some of my other lemon recipes but it isn't difficult. Use a nicer pie plate than the one I used and you will find it makes a really impressive dessert for a special meal so is well worth the extra time required to make it.
