Vitamin D is nicknamed the "Sunshine Vitamin" because our bodies can produce this Vitamin when our skin gets enough sunlight. This happens through a process of photosynthesis. When I heard this a few weeks ago through a radio broadcast about Vitamin D ,on 100.7 fm in Houston, TX, it really intrigued me. After hearing so much in the media about Vitamin D the past year I decided to do further research and share what I have learned about this amazing Vitamin.
