Lyme Disease - Wrath Of The Tick
Lyme disease is originated from a type of bacteria called borrelia which is infected into humans through tick bite. Borrelia is predominantly found in the genus Ixodes, a species of tick which is native to the northern hemisphere. Infection is only possible after the tick has been attached for more than a day, and is therefore more common from small ticks that are harder to detect. In less common cases, Lyme disease has been found to be sexually transmitted however these cases are very rare.
