Tea tree oil has beneficial medical properties (including antiseptic and antifungal, antibacterial action), and is also believed to have beneficial cosmetic properties. I was also going to recommend it as a flea remedy for pets, but I read that in high doses, it can be toxic and even deadly to cats. I have used it on mine, but will no longer use it in areas they can lick. Perhaps a bit on the back of the neck where they can't reach, like the flea drops medicine directions suggest. I'm amaze...
