Lionel Trains are the best known American electric trains. Most Lionel Trains are modeled in O scale (1/48 of actual size), which is about twice as large as HO scale (HO stands for "Half-O) but still not as large as G scale. Lionel does produce some sets in G scale, but those are mainly Lionel Christmas Trains.
