The Royal Canadian Mint's first issue of the new Wildlife Series is a 2011 coin featuring the Wolf. This is the first of six, one Troy ounce silver bullion coins being released by the Royal Canadian Mint. This coin was followed with the Grizzly and the Cougar. The coins will eventually number six, but the Royal Canadian Mint is holding the future designs secret. This is another example of a bullion series of coins attaining numismatic value.

The United States Mint struck bronze two cent pieces during a short period from 1864 through 1873. These coins are larger than the penny. They have a shield on one side and a wreath on the other.
