Ode to my flowers
I will write about my third love (first is my partner and second are my Pets). Or are they flowers? Hmmm...They are also my big love... flowers in every form. But my repertoire of flowers grew with me, at least as far as my color selection. Times before in my apartment wasn't any red flowers. Project BudBurst: Recording the Signs of Spring
My grandmother was an avid gardener and observer of nature. She kept careful track of when the snow melted, buds emerged in the Spring and when each flower burst into bloom. Plenty of colour to greet the April sun and showers

These are the front-runners of the colourful flowers that will be appearing throughout the spring and summer. The photo shows the apple blossom on my Cox's Orange Pippin tree.

Easy to grow flowers for late spring
Apart from their beauty, all the flowers on this page have one thing in common - they are very easy to keep. Mostly perennials, they bloom spring after spring with minimum care. If you're looking for ideas for a low maintenance flower garden, just take your pick, you'll be sure to find something to your liking. All the pictures on this page were taken during one sunny day in May on my parents' gardening allotment in Poland.
