While I was serving in the U.S. Navy, I had the chance to go see an awesome show. It was part of the short Dylan & the Dead tour back in the late '80s. I was (and still am) a HUGE Bob Dylan fan and the show was in Oakland, CA, just a few miles from where I was stationed in Alameda. I went for Dylan but walked out a DeadHead. The show just blew my mind the jams were tight and the crowd was fun. So I had to find out more about this band and caught nearly every west coast show they did until I w...
