The Man In Black
Johnny Cash was wearing black long before it was cool, and certainly never did it for fashion. It was who he was. Also in the definition of "who he was" has to be that he was a spectacular musician. I've listened to Johnny Cash as long as I can remember, and am still saddened that he is no longer singing.

Johnny Cash: Music Legend
Johnny Cash (1932-2003) seems like he is still around. Sure he left us on September 12, 2003, but his music is everywhere so in a sense he lives on. The movie, Walk The Line, was released in 2005 and brought a legion of new fans both young and old to the music of The Man In Black. In his career of nearly 50 years he sold over 50 million albums. You can always tell a Johnny Cash song by his signature "boom chicka boom" sound before you ever hear his deep gravely vocals.

Johnny Cash Is a National Treasure
Johnny Cash is one of the few entertainers that has earned the right in our country to be called a hero, a legend, and an icon.  He is representative of our country in many ways.  Johnny was an original amongst a group of cookie-cutter acts, and he stood out among them.
