Civilla Martin penned the words to this beautiful song in 1905 after being inspired by a couple who both suffered physical disabilities, yet lived happy Christian lives full of hope. I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free, For His eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watches me.
