Best Toys For Toddlers
Itsy Bitsy Spider Love
My two-year old daughter loves reading and singing about the Itsy Bitsy Spider. In fact, she requests reading it so much that I started brainstorming different ways to tell the rhyme to keep things interesting. Sometimes all it takes to have some fun is looking around the house for everyday items that can be turned into educational play toys. In this lens I'll share some puppet ideas, magnet ideas, retelling, sequencing and other interesting ways to keep telling this classic children's song.

Welcome to The Best Toys for Toddlers Club. The Idea behind this project is very simple: The Best Toys for Toddlers is a Club for parents who would like to share their opinions, experience and ideas about certain toys with other parents. We consider parents and toddlers the REAL TOY EXPERTS. After all, toddlers are the ones using the toys and we, as parents, are the ones that very often spend time with them playing with those toys. As Parents we know what our children like and dislike. The ...
Pattern Blocks
I love toys that stand the test of time, are well-made and can be use for many years in many different ways. One such toy is pattern blocks. I first learned about pattern blocks when I was a 1st grade teacher. We used them in conjunction with our math curriculum. But pattern blocks aren't only for the school setting. They are a perfect toddler activity and toy that can be used at home too.
A Look at Toddler Art
As parents, we are well aware that encouraging our children to paint and draw is extremely vital for so many reasons: creativity, expressing ideas, communicating, a precursor to writing and, of course, the pure fun of making marks on paper. It is fascinating to observe a toddler moving on from 'whole arm scribbling', which develops gross motor skills (shoulders, arms, elbows) to creating more recognisable images using fine motor skills (wrists, hands, fingers). On this page I want to focus o...
If you can use a toy in more than one way, it's on my list of favorites!
Most of us parents have played Candy Land as kids. Candy land is one of the first board games introduced to toddlers and preschoolers. It's easy for them to play since this board game doesn't include reading and it's really great for early learning helping kids with skills like color recognition and social skills with taking turns. This page is not here to talk about history of the game or all the variations available on the market (if you're interested in that, you'll find some links furthe...
Happiness in a Box: My Review
Give a kid a cardboard box and her possibilities of fun are endless. Why? Because a cardboard box is never just a cardboard box to a kid. It's an airplane, a car, a train, a robot, a dollhouse, a dog house, a secret room, an outfit, a cubed drawing space, a soft square noisy kick ball, a bathtub, a birthday box, a temporary place to put favorite toys... It can be everything and anything if a child imagines it. Just let her look inside its emptiness and she will automatically know of the endle...

My Niece Loves to Garden with a Cute Garden Tote and Tools
Toddlers are fascinated by growing things and love to spend time in the garden. Their own brightly-colored set of garden tools is the perfect way to encourage this natural curiosity and teach them about how things grow. Like many little girls, my niece doesn't just love to root around among the plants and flowers. She also likes to imitate the grown ups with her own set of garden tools. And of course she loves pretty things in cute colors. This gorgeous Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Tote with ...
Never Bored Girls or Boys with Pegboards!
Pegboards are one of the classic toys even I used to play with as a child! To tell you the truth, when I bought peg board for my daughter, I expected to see just the same toy as it was when I was a kid. I was mistaken! Apparently, even peg boards were modernized! Today's pegboards come with pegs in different sizes and with convenient cases they can be stored in! I'm so sorry that I don't own my old pegboard any more to show you the difference! Still, when we entered toy store, this was a to...
