When you study nature it is often hard to get close to the animals you are studying but often they leave their tracks. Winter is a wonderful time to find out which animals are wandering around your neighborhood. When a fine dusting of snow covers the earth, tracks are easy to spot. Go out for a walk before the sun has had a chance to blur the tracks. The clean lines in the fresh snow will make it easy to identify the animals that have trod there.
