I am a dog lover and enthusiast. I've owned dogs my entire life and have had many different breeds over the years ranging from small to large. I've also studied several dog breeds extensively and have tried to learn all I can about dogs in general for many years. I couldn't even tell you how many books I've read on dogs, but it's a LOT. I also run a dog blog. The picture above is of my Pit Bull "Tank" who I rescued from a shelter in 2003. He is one of the most loving, loyal and obedient dogs...

I have been a Pit Bull lover and owner for 13 years. Pits are terrific dogs; we've had them with cats, other dogs, infants, toddlers, men, women, rabbits and even ferrets. I believe that being educated on the breed will help ensure happy, confident dogs. These are my favorite pictures of my dogs, Dharma (our first baby and food fiend), Dolby (our kisser) & Liam (our newest and most energetic (read: we can't tire him out)). I'm making this page about my dog because she was a Pit Bull and there are too many people afraid of her breed. I just want to show the world how great a pet she was. Dixie would have been 10 years old this year. We don't know exactly when her birthday is, but she was about a year old when we got her in August of 2002.
