The Gypsy Vanner Horse
I had never heard of the Gypsy horse until today. They are truly magnificent animals. These beautiful horses were not recognized as a breed until 1996 when the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society was established. The Vanner breed was the end product of a selective breeding process and only a small number of horses bred by gypsies were from that process. These superb horses have created what is referred to as "Vannermania". Let's learn more about these gorgeous horses and the farms where they are bred...

The Funniest Horse Race Ever
The Funniest Horse Race Ever
Announcer Larry Collmus Calls Race of a Lifetime
August 22, 2010, Oceanport, New Jersey: It was a fine Sunday afternoon, the seventh race at Monmouth Park Racetrack. Suddenly, announcer Larry Collmus had a tongue twister of a race and a chance for 15 minutes of fame as a viral video star. He did not disappoint. The call for this horse race sounds like a famous Spike Jones skit... but it was real! Guess which horse was trained by a woman, and which by a man. Homemade Horse Treats

For as long as I can remember I have loved horses. I used to bug my parents non-stop to get me my very own horse. They finally caved in and bought me my first horse, Topsy. A beautiful Appaloosa horse. That was over 14 years ago and not only do I still have Topsy, I also have 1 Miniature Horse and 2 Quarter Horses to love and spoil. One of my favorite ways to spoil my horses is to make homemade horse treats for them. I've searched the internet for new recipes and added a few of my own and ad...

Riding a Horse on the Beach
Riding a Horse on the Beach
Someday I want to ride a horse on the beach.
Someday I want to ride a horse on the beach. It is ranked very high on My Bucket list! There is something so beautiful I find about photos of people riding horses on the beach. Or horses running free on the Beach. I rode horses all the time as a teen and young adult. We had this wonderful place we would ride near Simi Valley, California that we called "The Bird House". You know I am not really sure why we called it the bird house, perhaps it had a lot of birds there. It was this clear strea...
