The photos and videos shown here, are of two turtles of the Genus Chelodina. The Northern Snakeneck Turtle, Chelodina rugosa, and the Oblong Snakeneck Turtle, Chelodina oblonga. Snakeneck turtles are also known as Snake-neck Turtles, and Long Necked Turtles. Regardless of what you call them, they will make you take notice the first time you see one. Their name says it best. They look like a snake coming out of a turtle's shell.
