It's time to get out your hummingbird feeders! To fill your hummingbird feeder, you can make your own sugar mixture. Add about one quarter cup of table sugar per cup of water. Food coloring is unnecessary. Change the mixture in the feeder before it starts to get cloudy or discolored. You can also invite them to your yard by planting tubular flowers. Some of their favorites are: Bee Balm, Canna, Cardinal Flower, Columbine, Foxglove, Four O'Clocks, Impatiens, Fuchsia, Petunia, Morning Glory, ...
