102 Cane Toads were brought to Australia in 1935 to help control cane beetles in farmers' fields. It didn't work. But they did take over most of the areas that they were introduced to and have developed into a major and deadly pest and a threat to many of the area's native animals and serve as a tragic and dangerous reminder of our tampering with nature.
