Most important things to remember . .. . 1. Do not wrap the laces around the backs of figure skates. 2. Make sure the laces are pulled tight and the majority of the lace is used up before making a bow. 3. Tuck the bow loops into the skate somehow, or loop them over the hooks (as illustrated in picture) so that they are not hanging loose. Also, make sure your hooks are not bent or loose - most skate sharpeners or skate shops can fix these easily for you if you notice one.
