It took until 2001 for NASCAR racing to be a reality in Joliet, IL ~~ that was when Chicagoland Speedway had it's debut races (Jimmie Johnson won the Busch (now Nationwide) Series race and Kevin Harvick won the Nextel (now Sprint) Cup race). And now, new for 2008, Chicagoland Speedway will join only a handful of other tracks in the ability to host a night race. Both NASCAR races this year will be under the lights.

Texas may be known for a lot of things - but I only care about one: The Great American Speedway in Justin, Texas (near Fort Worth). The Texas Motor Speedway is a one and a half mile quad-oval track that hosts races for all levels of NASCAR racing (Sprint Cup, Nationwide Series, and Craftsmen Truck).
