In mid-July, 2010, my husband and I traveled to Glacier National Park in Montana, during its 100th year anniversary of becoming the 10th National Park of the United States. Glacier National Park and Waterton Lakes National Park are absolutely breathtaking places to visit. Glacier is located in Montana, and Waterton Lakes is in Alberta. The two parks combined are called the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. They were named the first International Peace Park in the world in 1932. They are both well worth the visit. I grew up in western Montana and Glacier Park is my favorite place on earth. When I lived there I'd drive up after work just to spend a few hours there. It is a place where you can just get away and relax and enjoy the peace and beauty. Here are some of my favorite places to go for the views and the hiking. I now live in California.
