South Carolina is my home and I am proud of it. I wanted to make this lens for several reasons. First, our grandson was in the third grade at the time and South Carolina children learn about their state then. I was in the third grade at Pendleton Elementary School in 1956. The picture is the text book we used. My brother was 4 years younger and the book was discontinued when he was in the third grade and that is how I happen to have a copy of it.
