The Albany Tulip Festival is one of Albany's largest events, bringing thousands into Washington Park to view and celebrate the tulips, and the Dutch history of the area. Thousands and thousands of tulips of all types and colors make this event absolutely beautiful. This year we will celebrated the 61th Annual Albany Tulip Festival, on May 8-9, 2010, as always on Mother's Day Weekend.

It is the principal city of the Albany, Georgia metropolitan area and the southwest part of the state. The population was 77,434 at the 2010 U.S. Census, making it the ninth-largest city. The total area is 0.59% water. Albany lies in a belt of historically rich farmland in the East Gulf coastal plain, on the banks of the Flint River.
