There is no better way to see Auckland, New Zealand than from the sea! We recently headed to the city and took an Auckland cruise on the Ted Ashby Sailing Scow. Although launched in 1993, the Ted Ashby is a scow (flat bottomed boat), built as a replica of a scow in the type of scow which had operated in the late 1800s to early 1900s in northern New Zealand waters.
